Confirm that there are no foreign objects on the surface that can cause damage, such as fine needles, small iron nails, etc. The patch material used to fill holes or cracks should be the same as the anti-seepage geomembrane.

Small holes should be corrected by extrusion welding. If the hole is larger than 6mm, patches should be applied. Peel off using patches for correction. If the peel off has a sharp end on a slope, it must be cut into a circular shape before patching. The surface of the geomembrane that requires patching should be corrected, polished, and cleaned in advance. The folded anti-seepage geomembrane should be re laid, and the welding direction for patching should be parallel to the slope, rather than intersecting.

The patch should be composed of the same anti-seepage geomembrane and cut into circular or elliptical shapes, with a size at least 15cm beyond the defect margin. All patches should have the same thickness as the original anti-seepage membrane, and almost all patches should be flattened at the top edge with a grinder before being placed on the anti-seepage membrane. When making corrections, all appearances should be kept clean and dry. Non destructive testing should be conducted and documented for each corrected orientation.
