Installation steps of high-density polyethylene geomembrane

Construction steps for laying high-density polyethylene geomembrane (HDPE geomembrane):

1) It should extend from the bottom to the high position, without pulling too tightly, leaving a margin of 1.50 for local sinking and stretching. Considering the actual situation of this project, the slope will be laid in a top-down sequence.

2) The longitudinal joints of adjacent frames should not be on the same horizontal line and should be staggered by more than 1M from each other.

3) The longitudinal joint should be at least 1.50m away from the dam foot and bend foot, and should be set on a flat surface.

4) Start with the back bottom of the slope first.

5) When laying the slope, the direction of the film should be basically parallel to the larger slope line.

Climate requirements

A temperature of 5-40 ℃ is recommended. Considering the thermal expansion and contraction properties of geomembranes, according to experience, the laying of geomembranes should be tighter in cold weather; Relax during hot weather; However, it should be noted that high temperatures during noon should be avoided in summer.

2. Wind force and rainy weather: Construction should be stopped if the wind force exceeds level 4 or if it rains; When the wind is low, it is advisable to use sandbags to press down on the geomembrane for construction purposes.

Anchor joint requirements

1) Anchor trench: It is used to fix high-density polyethylene geomembrane and protective layer geotextile. The high-density polyethylene geomembrane and protective layer geotextile are laid well

Afterwards, immediately press down with a concrete slab.

2) Buffer platform: It is designed to ensure the stability of high-density polyethylene geomembrane and prevent sliding. A buffer platform is added in the middle of the slope, and anchoring grooves are set on the platform to reduce the downward tension of high-density polyethylene geomembrane and increase stability. The anchoring ditch of the buffer platform in this project is small and narrow due to the characteristics of the actual terrain, and special attention should be paid during construction.

3) Flood interception ditch: Excavate a flood interception ditch above the anchor ditch to divert external rainwater and prevent it from directly entering the landfill site.
